New ReAction: Gremlins, Scarface, Jaws & Fight Club

Funko announced a slew of ReAction figures this fine Friday (Singapore-time anyways), with most of them first seen at New York Toy Fair 2015, actually … Here's a quick summary of what to expect, with individual images since posted on my movie-blog at PopcornX!

Funko announces the coming of their GREMLINS ReAction figure line coming in June, with each figure an average of SRP US$9.99 - relive the 1984 American horror comedy film with the cuteness of Mogwai! And there's a "Christmas" Version too? Don't expect THAT to last too long on the sales pegs, methinks! Only thing missing to complete the set is Phoebe Cates as "Kate Beringer" … but then again I am biased for my childhood crush … *blush*

FUNKO PRESS: "Say hello to our little friend! Tony Montana joins the ReAction world as part of our Scarface series. He’s wielding his infamous AK-47 and ready to enact some vengeance, petty or not! Coming in June!"
All I think about now whenever "Scarface" is mentioned, is the line "Say Hello To My Little Friend!", like THAT'S ALL the movie was about … same like "You Talkin' To Me?" from "Travis Bickel" in "Taxi Driver" (Yes, there's a ReAction toy coming out for that too!). Are what we are left with from modern classic cinema are tag lines and toys? LOL

US$9.99 will settle that desire to retain a frozen moment of cinema in a toy :)

I have always felt what collectors needed to really up their collections are "vehicles" - beyond action figures blister-carded or boxed, they need vehicles and playlets, and in this instance, A SHARK! Here's hoping we see MORE vehicles/playsets coming from ReAction soon! Jaws ReAction figures will be available in June (need to find out how ouch the shark costs tho…)

David Fincher's FIGHT CLUB remains one of my favorite cinematic tour de force since it's release in 1999, and a modern classic it remains to a new age of cinephiles, I reckon. In the past we have seen collectibles of Tyler Durden made, sot noticeably bootleg production version by Brothers Production, customs by Lalla & Rainman and hand-made headsculpts, like Feng's, because seems Brad Pitt's character is the only one "makable" as a toy … Funko x Super7 is changing that, with the FIGHT CLUB ReAction figures!
